| dc.description.abstract | This report presents the Fourth Quarter Summary for the year 2018 of the Regional External Quality Assessment Scheme (REQAS) for laboratories located in the Eastern and Mekelle Zones of the Tigray Region, Ethiopia. The REQAS is a quality assurance initiative designed to monitor and improve the accuracy, reliability, and performance of clinical laboratories through regular external quality assessments. The summary includes an analysis of laboratory performance across multiple test parameters—such as HIV rapid tests, malaria microscopy, hematology, clinical chemistry, and other essential diagnostics. Participating laboratories receive proficiency testing panels, and their results are evaluated against expected standards. | |
