The dataset from the study on Terminalia brownii evaluates its antidiabetic properties through various experiments. It includes the extraction of the stem bark using 80% methanol, acute toxicity assessments in female Swiss albino mice, and in vitro ?-amylase inhibition tests. In vivo experiments were conducted by inducing diabetes in mice with streptozotocin (STZ) and measuring blood glucose levels and glucose tolerance after administration of the crude extract and its solvent fractions. Additionally, preliminary phytochemical screening identified the presence of bioactive compounds. Statistical analysis was performed to assess the significance of the results, providing insights into the potential therapeutic effects of T. brownii on diabetes management.
